Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

When does the accountability start at the top?

I’m wondering when our executive starts taking accountability for our bad share performance. Maybe they should be taking home less pay until our share price improves. Let’s see them walk the talk and agree to put their bonuses on the line instead of dumping on the employees. But let’s be honest, they won’t. They like their millions while we all get the crumbs. Get ready for a whole bunch of disenfranchised employees on March 1st.

Left Cenovus almost 10 years ago, best move I ever made. Was just curious what was being said about the sinking ship. Looks like rats (with king rat DZ) are still on the ship based on the comments here. Don't kid yourself, sounds like the company has not changed one little bit and never will.

The history of this goes far back. It really started in the days when a lowly driller was recognized for his magnificence and propelled to the top of the food change. Nothing has changed since those days and never will. The culture is set. Accept it and move on, or figure out how to milk the cow at the same time before she's dry.

C-Suite doesn’t control the stock price; the market determines that, however poor management of our financial statements and inability to meet promised goals is what is turning off investors and analysts. Price of oil doesn’t help either.

Truth be told, accountability is absent from the top through to the bottom. Without it, we’re doomed. Reminds me of our current federal government. And let’s take a look at where they’ve taken us. Canada is broken and same goes for cenovus.

There is no accountability at the top, including the board of directors. Looking forward to the annual management circular to see the offensive executive compensation.
