@izm+1qPBxb7P ms2's actually take home roughly £27k for working 24/7 12hr shifts. Great money ? I don't agree. They actually spend 10 hours per shift on the production line and deserve their breaks. There not the ones cueing outside the canteen waiting for it to open after sauntering down from upon high. Or spending 30 mins in the clean room for a handover.
As for a slice of the pie Most MS's can't afford to do shares as it will take them below minimum wage after deductions. As for a bonus don't make me laugh.
Moves and targets are and always will be part of production and I think you'll find MS's in STST have always met and exceeded these even after their numbers have been reduced. Disciplinary warnings are already handed out like sweets at Christmas but now manager's will be scrutinised for fairness and impartiality. MS's will have proper representation.
You say 'The union will go to STST and they will be told the MSs are overpaid'. Well guess what the MS's are the union!
'The good times are over.
Its a simple job. They push buttons. They are not specialists. Its an easy job. They Think they kept the company afloat during covid'
It's attitudes like this that have drove MS's to seek representation and yes it was MS's that kept the company afloat during covid. Not some desk jockey with mouse mover running on their remote desktop while sipping pims in their blow up hot tub under their newly built pergola.
Oh and MS's are not alone ! More unionised workers are seeking recognition due to toxic mismanagement !
