Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are coming

It’s absolutely coming. A hiring freeze is coming shortly that coincides with reviews. If any bonus/raise if offered it won’t
So to what you’ve seen before and may be bundled with your severence package. The names are already selected in affected areas. Likely already selected as part of the last round.

If you work in a market with low enrollment, poor quality scores, or one that just paid to settle a lawsuit, good luck.

As long as they have an entire team dedicate to layoffs (agreements@centene.com) they will keep having rolling layoffs.

You don't really think Centene is going to be transparent do you? If its conjecture or speculation than the company has no one to blame but themselves for devaluing the respect that they should give to their employees. And they certainly are not going to let it be leaked like last time. When you create an environment where no one knows what's going on and you destroy trust this is the result you get. People are going to constantly worry now and its justified.

Is there proof layoffs are happening or is everything conjecture, rumor, and speculation? I don't doubt it's coming but are there facts to back up anything that has been said

Yes I am hearing the same thing that there are layoffs coming. I found out yesterday that another RIF is imminent. Leaders are working on identifying names of individuals to be let go. This was across the board and was not specific to one area. What is interesting is it sounds like there is no indication of any company wide notices being sent out.

Trying to make heads or tails of what’s been going on. Some open positions just closed out of nowhere and hearing rumors about more people being laid off recently. Maybe the positions got closed due to the hiring freeze? Anyone have any insight or info?

Hiring freezes always during review season to go through the comp process. Stop stirring the pot sh-t stirrer.

My lord. Someone needs to let go of this WARN notice issue. There are SO MANY ways to avoid having to actually follow that process. Read more about it - you’ll find that it’s hyper specific about when and where it’s required and Centene has yet to hit that in any of their layoffs. That’s by design.

Why are you so hung up on seeing if one is posted?? There is nothing about it that will protect you or your job

IS THAT YOU SARAH? LOL No reason to be rude 🤣 . Can someone leak this if there is truly more coming so they are forced to notify us again

From what I understand, WARN notices are not needed if people are given a 60 day notice. That is the WARN notice then.

How are they getting away with not making WARN notice it's not on there at least for California checked last night 🤔.. no transparency. I know for sure they told temps they may potentially let go in June nothing to do with their performance. What's states and depts? We need to know.
