Because they are hiring away from JPM
As a tech group who doesn’t have anything to do with retail, why would it matter if branches are located near a hub?
Why is WF building a tech center where we have no branches.

Yes there is! How about growing jobs in existing markets (HUBS) where we have a retail presence! That would say a lot to employees and maybe improve moral instead of taking a handout from the state!
Columbus is now a hub for some LOBs. The main reason is that JPM has a large presence there and we're just hiring from there left and right.

Ohio, Texas, the only state left for WF to move a bunch of employees to is Florida.
😄 People on this site complain when there are layoffs, but also complain when Wells hires 😄
