I was laid off in December on my anniversary with WF. along with many of my colleagues. WF doesn't care if it is the holidays.

You are Wrong. Bunch laidoff in Mortgage Finance today. Capital Markets and Controllers.

Also, when asking about getting notices on Fridays, it's a "pre-notice" for a period of time. So could be 60 days or less to train your replacement, with actual layoff day of a Tuesday after payday. That Tuesday is when your 60 days non working layoff begins. It's not often, but is happening so people can train their replacements

Why are some posting “Friday” when it’s typically Tuesday?

The entire useless Marketing department should be laid off. They must be creating more fake customer accounts.

Marketing is partying hard on the company credit card. No layoffs for the creative types. Keep that in mind if considering a career change.

Entire division.. were you notified in November or on a working notice prior to November?

Years ago, I had colleagues in customer care on the east coast who were notified in September and some worked until November. It was several hundred people in one location.

I'm telling you, I'm getting the F off and there is a reason why I'm getting the F off and everyone can either believe it or they cannot believe it, I don't give two Fs. But I am telling you right now, this MF bank is not real. And you can stay with this MF bank and you can die with them or not, I'm not going to.

Probably 150-250 people this week. In 61 days we'll know for sure.

Don't worry, the mass layoffs are all done for 2023 because the fiscal budget has been completed. Plan for your holiday vacation, relax and enjoy. When you come back from your vacation, the mass layoffs will resume during the 1st quarter next year.

Due to the upcoming holidays they will limit the amount of layoffs until Q1 2024.

I don't recall any last quarter layoffs after Oct last year, maybe this year is a whole different ball game (and still time for WF to avoid paying out the 401k match).

I've heard that site strategy will be finalized in Q1 2024 for some groups such as tech, so layoffs for the rest of 2023 will probably continue to be fairly minor.
