Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does anyone have a Director ana me Manager they like to work with ?

Seems like a run of bad management these days. Is there any groups with good direction and support?

My director is top notch; his peers, not so much. His manager as well horrible. I really lucked out. If he goes, I’ll likely follow.

Yes, my dir is awesome. Sorry you lost the corp lottery OP, but not to worry, there's so much chaos here that you won't work for your current manager for long.

You won't find a good manager at Wells Fargo. You are in the wrong place.

Just like anything else though, the negatives overshadow the positives. There could be one bad manager for every 10, but that one always stands out from the rest, in a bad way.

Also, nobody comes here out of their way to provide positive feedback. This site is for complaining only.

My manager is absolutely awesome. Gives me almost full autonomy and isn't a micro manager. Allows very flexible time as long as I keep performing. I think direction from his boss though is very suspect if not completely MIA.

A good manager here would be a unicorn!

Even if you have a “good manager”, the problem I’ve seen is that risk initiatives are reshuffling everything into an indefinite state of confusion that managers do not have control over for the most part.

There’s no vision or consistency when rules of our daily work keep being overwritten by multiple risk groups who have overarching authority but little ground level experience with the nuances of the work and its downstream implications.

Been jumping from group to group over the years in search of good leadership. Result: haven’t found any good leaders. This kids, is Wells Fargo & Co

Not that I’ve heard. In my world with all my various lob partners, it has been a revolving door of leadership. As a result, there is no vision and no direction. Anywhere. Everyone is miserable. Sorry.
