Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

PTO, Displacement, and the end of the year?

So finally got hit with a displacement with a final day in 2024. Question is, do I get paid or for any 2023 PTO over the annual carryover limit? Not getting straight answers from HR and I have +100 hours left.

Please no conjecture, this impacts a lot of folks so actual knowledge.

If your 60 day notice begins in 2023 and ends in 2024, I have been told that you will be paid for any unused pto from 2023 plus what you accrue in 2024 until the 60 day notice is complete. You are not limited to 5 days carryover. I too am in your situation and talked to HR directly and received the above answer.

I looked up an old VP today. From well over a decade ago. Dude STILL works in the SAME place! A complete and total l o s e r.

The org that he's in only performs very basic work. The kind of work you'd give to someone with room temp IQ. That's why he felt insecure when I was around. He knew I was the real alpha in the room.

Anyways, poor people need to stop reproducing. There are way too many poor people in society, and the count is growing.

If your end date is in 2024 you will not get paid for any accrued untaken PTO EXCEPT the 5 carryover days. You will get paid for those and a little accrued 2024 hours.

Sorry I missed the part asking about above and beyond the 5 day allowed carryover. That I do not know. I was displaced in 2023 and paid my accrued PTO in 2023.

Yes, on your final day of non-working notice you will get two payments. One will be a regular paycheck and the other will be for any accrued, but untaken, PTO.

What state do you live in? If in CA, you can carry over unused PTO-which you'll get paid out.
You didn't post when your last day will be in 2024...use up the floating/personal days in 2024 if you can since those are not paid out....
