For those laid off, were there any red flags prior to layoff.
The red flags that I am seeing are:
- All work are being outsourced or done by the bot. Just a few months ago we were so busy we were overwhelmed but now work reduced by approx. 90%
- An analyst has now been bought into our dept to " streamline and make us more efficient ". Even though our work has already been greatly reduced. Where was an analyst when we needed one during our busy years? We do not need one now, but I think they are here to rank us. Those ranked lower may be laid off. Those ranked higher will possibly be moved to a new dept.
- Leadership strongly encouraging us to create a resume and they want to look at it. It's always good to have a resume ready in a time like this, but it's weird that they actually want to look at it.
- Leadership wants to sit side by side to see how we do our process. This is understandable during busy days, but not when work is so greatly reduced. Makes me think they are actually ranking us.
- Hiring freeze
These are the red flags that I can think of.
For those laid off, I am sorry and I hope you find a better job.
