While I don’t support the racist comments, it won’t change the reality. Those who have interviewed the Indian guys knows the amount of frauds happening. I am not saying everyone does that but significant portion are involved in it. A friend of mine told me that city of Hyderabad has awesome IT talent available but is also a capital of frauds. Wells is opening huge facility in that city so be aware/cautious while hiring!!

This guy here with a fake resume is not Indian or Chinese, he is American.

This is the Indians and Chinese. They are all liars. Certification factories in India due to kickback. Chinese nationals steal our technology and secrets.

Indians love to fudge their resumes. I have observed my colleagues doing it first hand. It's in their culture to fudge their resumes.

This is the joy of the new “Executive Director” title. I can now put that on my resume instead of Senior Lead Technology Business Services Consultant.

Fake Identity -

  1. Guys who give the interview is not the same guy working. This is quite common nowadays and can be easily done here because most of the hiring manager don't do video interviews plus background check is a joke here)
  2. Guy is who gave the interview and working is not the same guy who joined the company (happens in IT and done by the guys working in US on H1B as they cant do multiple jobs legally so they find their citizen friends to join the company and run the payroll)

Fudging a resume is fully acceptable here in India. Everyone does it. I don't know why you guys are making a big deal out of nothing.

Consultant here. I always advertise myself as a senior executive to show professional confidence. What's wrong with that?

@kru Every time one of my team's India staff departs I look them up on LinkedIn. They ALWAYS state they were doing significantly more roles than what they were employed to do here.

Lying is just part of life in developing countries.

I believe this to be truth, fake resume that is. Been here +15 years. Amazing to me how many people have all these 'director' titles at previous jobs before coming here and when you look at their LinkedIn profile and they've been out of college for less than 10 years.

If you're a Director that fast, you're either a phenom (rare) or you've embellished the heck of your prior experience and likely 'trumped up' the title/responsibilities that you had.

5 years ago -- Director (except for 'Board of Directors') wasn't a thing at this company and wasn't so much of a buzzword title in all of financial services that I'm aware of, but now suddenly it's like candidates went back into their work histories and changed the title of the jobs they previously had to make themselves appear more 'qualified' for the roles they're after today. For instance, someone was a supervisor of a small team of analysts and now that experience is portrayed as having been Director of Insights and Business Enablement.

I'm not hating the player here.....more like hating the game. Tons and tons of people in roles without the general business experience to be effective. Experience takes time to gain and shouldn't be overlooked for education and a good interview. Director effectiveness is less about technical/SME expertise in an area and more about the ability to simplify the complex, figure out what's important, solve problems, make decisions, and lead. We've got Directors up the yin yang that cannot do that and also don't have any technical expertise/SME knowledge of the area they're directing. Everyone beneath them struggles badly.

Do not visit the profile. Wells Fargo is using this as a way to see who is on this site. It’s a phish

How in the world would you get hired under a fake identity? You mean getting someone else to interview?

Wells Fargo is a front. There is a real underground operation going on somewhere else.

Big problem in India apparently, along with fake interviews (someone claiming to be one person while another does the interview). Whoever dreamed up India/Philippines should be gone.
