Does anyone feels that the workload ridiculously went down on the engineering side market level, specially after the area model got implemented?? Do you guys this there will be more layoffs of the market engineers side soon?

Of course that’s the plan! Have you noticed how top-heavy the company is becoming now, with more managers and less frontline employees? To justify the manager-to-employee ratio, they’re even assigning frontline employees to market-level managers. As it is against T-Mobile policy for contractors to manage other contractors, the company is setting it up where managers will be retained to manage contractors in the field while the field force is eliminated. More lousy Sprint practices to set the company up for a sell-off
With Ulf being in charge of Engineering and John Saw also at the top levels it wouldn't surprise me to see T-Mobile send it's Engineering and Operations to Ericsson's Managed Services (same thing Sprint did). It looks better on the balance sheet. Network will go to he-l, but imagine the C level bonuses for that cost cutting measure!
They've gone to black-boxing the whole solution. Easier that way.
Maybe they are looking to outsourcing
