I read articles about employees in Des Moines trying to unionize, and how they think that will motive the company to be more employee centric. That's hilarious! Some of you people are utterly delusional and it is sad. The company got billions in fines for its sales practices scandal for having a culture of high pressure, abusive practices that pressured store bankers to set up fake accounts. And a long history of well documented and publicized fines for consumer abuses as well, so what makes you think, for one minute, that they actually are concerned about employee welfare, employee survey results, and morale when they've rec'd fines numerous times for consumer abuses, the very people (customers) who actually feed you all and its execs by providing revenue to the bank?! Some of you are like abused souls, you have been in a dungeon for so long you don't recognize its effect on you. Why would you want to stay at a company (even if unionized) that upsets you so bad and that you don't respect?!, let alone who only sees you as another head to reduce to save money and is not afraid to say how they need to get more aggressive about layoffs. They want you to QUIT! It saves them on severance costs, more for Wall Street and Execs, less % for the working man/woman.
And the employee surveys, those are comical too! Did you just not see the headlines this week about Chainsaw says they need to "get more aggressive" about layoffs and chopping heads?! This is your livelihood he's talking about! Do you think for one minute the culture of constant layoffs and fear bothers him, nahhh! Many of you have kids to feed and bills to pay, and he's talking publicly and is cavalier about being aggressive about more layoffs! Again, wake up because survey says your job is at risk based on all of this cavalier talk that is no secret in the news headlines! People aren't quitting fast enough he says, so thus the need for severance costs to accrue. But while they're planning your departure (involuntarily), you're on here dreaming that someday they will develop some compassion and soul to actually act on the employee survey results before you get that meeting on you calendar and 60 day nonworking notice?! Bahhhaaahaa! Forget about your bonus, the surveys, just start taking action, looking for a new job, and finding a better place where you are valued as a human and employee! Do it for you and your family!
The sooner some of you can accept reality, the better off you will be, and the faster you will ACT to find a new job and/or career, and choose your future before Chainsaw decides it for you.
