Charlotte is hub for several LOB.
Golf tournaments change sponsors all the time. It’s not as attractive as it used to be given how PGA mgmt is screwing up the tour. Add impact of LIV and less Tiger and viewership is down
Put the money to use somewhere else like regulatory fines, severance packages or pay raises for the little people

Well Chuckles needs money for his 5.4M bonus payout this year so no surprise.
When this started it was a big deal for Wachovia; the company put significant time and energy into this event locally and it was a focal point for marketing. Wells is slowly but surely pulling out of Charlotte - what is amazing is how much Chase, US Bank and RD Bank are stepping right into the market. I have no clue what Wells wants to be but being a major retail bank in the South seems to not be it

Bout time we exited. What a waste of money. What was the ROMI on that? Not enough obviously. We could do so much more with those dollars being invested elsewhere.

No need to sponsor events in Charlotte, it's days as a hub are numbered. Consider this step 1 of the move to I&P from the region.
