When they call my number, I will NOT do the perp walk carrying 2 boxes with a sad face for all to see. EVERYTHING I will take will fit in my backpack. There, done!

I cleaned out my desk a year ago. It’s just a bare workspace. This is in case I get laid off or decide to quit (in which case I don’t plan on giving two weeks notice…such is my lack of respect for this company). Very liberating to know I just need to toss a couple things into a bag and walk to my car.
Live every day as if it were going to be your last; for one day you're sure to be right.
Build yourself a 'She Shed" to office in and get over it. Driving to random buildings is a ridiculous waste of time, money, natural resources, and environmental damage. Your lack of interest in working from home doesn't mean the company should spend billions of office space for you. Completely unnecessary expenses and risk.
I will NOT be sad. Just give me the info I need and PEACE OUT!
Sigh
don't personalize yer workspace. especially in a hoteling world.
shoot, you couldn't tell if I was married or pro-created.
it was where I worked, not a cozy space.
same reason I wasn't cool with work from home....... don't mix my relaxing space with work space............I mean, I did it during the scamdemic...... but, I wasn't pleased.
In my entire long career I have never been in a position where I couldn’t put on my coat, pick up my bag, and leave. Even when I was happy at work.
When we were in the office full time I would put things up in my space so as to look committed, but only calendars and random stuff I didn’t care about.
No way was I going to be the one packing up my desk and hauling the contents down the elevator in a cardboard box.
Never leave personal items in the office.
