@OP
Maybe Honeywell is counting on many less offices and many new hires? Count me in. Send me away with a little severance and I'll be happy and sing their praises.

It make no sense for lots of IDL who now have to RTO 5 days a week, it is ridiculous! I have to drive to my site where no one else is my co-worker , really a joke !

When people go to site they spend more time bs'ing in cubes, hallways, in the patio areas, anywhere but sitting at the desk working.

When anyone is at their desk like the new hires, they look bored or are on their phones.

Productivity. 🤣🤣🤣

As opposed to shoving emails around while sitting at some dilapidated HON building?

My AERO site is starting a mandatory 1 day a week, increasing by a day, each month, to come into the office so that ISC can get more AERO support in the production floor. I for one am extremely pleased to see these homebodies get back in the office and drive priorities rather than sitting at home shoving emails around thinking that's how the world works.

This isn’t true. Just a troll getting people worked up. There are enough reasons to be worked up without making things up. As of now, there is zero return to office plan. Could that change? Sure. But they are trying to downsize office space to save money and the flex schedule allows for this on a massive scale.

He dodged the question. No direct answer. Then Sheila made an unnecessary and targeted comment to shame younger employees for wanting work flexibility. And she’s the HYPE sponsor? Yikes.

We’re headed back 5 days folks.

Darius referenced this in his last town hall. It’s appalling at how completely tone death and out of touch our leaders are. 5 days a week in the office in 2024, is absolutely absurd and clearly shows how our leadership is taking a stance AGAINST flexible working that Karen Mattimore has “preached” since the pandemic. Everyone in C-Suite here is so out of touch. Look at the embarrassing diversity numbers in this years ESG report. idk how the media hasn’t picked up the diversity CRISIS Honeywell has. It’ll only get worst next year with this RTO policy because many will quit, except for old white men and women. Which honestly is what some leaders here want. They don’t value diversity, and it shows. Numbers don’t lie

In the office 5 days a week? Haha sounds good to me! I'll go back to straight 8s with an hour lunchbreak. Don't like it? I don't care! Fire me, I guess but good luck finding someone that does what I do AND will tolerate all your Honeywell bullsh1t.

86ing WFH for global team members is flat out asinine. One thing is guaranteed - I WILL not be in the office for any morning or evening meetings with global teams. You will not see me until after 10:00AM most days.

The person who “man up” must be one of the countless lifeless manager drones who thinks it’s cool to have a mantra of work hard/play hard, even though they know nothing of the latter and their spouse and kids probably hate them.

Typical out of touch HoneyHell. That will definitely drive the younger employees out the door. Many older employees will quit.

RTO 5 days a week won't apply to me. I'll just formally resign my position. Heck, I'm already working my next position. The Honeywell work is just for fun at this point. It's nice having 2 incomes at the same time. I feel sorry for the h1-b's that are stuck. But I guess that is Honeywell's point. Good luck to our middle managers and customers.

If true, then this is the final nudge i need to escape this sh1thole.
Totally pointless for me, everyone I work with is China, India or another state and if i am in the office my Director tries unloading some of his own work onto me or just wastes my time gas bagging.

This is just formalizing an unwritten rule that is already in place. I’m surprised they haven’t tried formally expanding the work week to 80 hours, under the guise of innovation (being the first to do this) and the best damn pupershaper experience around!
