Accredited by BBB has nothing to do with anything. Everyone’s darling JPM is also not accredited. Should we break them up as well?
The only people who want to keep Wells Fargo alive are the corrupt old boys club members.
I can tell you right now, Wells Fargo will not come out ahead. This is the most corrupt, hated bank in the country, it's not even accredited by the BBB. CS is planning to exit the mortgage business altogether. Before you know, CS will have replaced most of the US jobs with the India counterparts, which will make it difficult for a US bank to operate and serve the US customers. Probably WF gets broken up between the US companies and India companies, then whatever is left will be bought by JP Morgan.
While i think it’s unlikely to happen, I’m also not dense enough to put my head in the sand and claim it’s impossible. Anything can happen, especially when someone is politically motivated to make it happen.
Come out ahead of what… Enron? Madoff? FTX???
Reading these comments, I am convinced that Wells Fargo really doesn't have quality employees. It is only natural to think that this bank will receive a Darwin award one of these days.

Just about everyone wants to break up Wells Fargo for many reasons. With the way it is, nobody wants Wells Fargo to continue the business and destroy America. Just about every customer wants Wells Fargo to disappear. The only people who would want to keep Wells Fargo the way it is are probably the corrupt executives and managers who keep stealing money from everybody. So your statement really make me wonder who you really are.
If by "come out ahead" you mean reborn under a new name (by being broken up into multiple other banks) then you may be right.
