It's crazy how most of the big wigs under chuck never really get laid off, they just get shuffled from position to position. No matter if they do a lousy job.
Look it up in the org chart or read one of the many press releases. Stop being lazy.
Mortgage rates are comparable to some super prime credit cards in recent years. I think WF can take a beat on this market until rates calm down.

Mortgage is dead. Charlie already announced in January they were exiting. He has moved everything to India

We won't need one. The mortgage business is dead at Wells Fargo, and looks like they are planning to exit the mortgage business eventually.
