Of course new hires make more than tenured employees in raw salary. They're not getting anything contributed to a pension. Don't worry, you'll come out way ahead of the new hire in the long term.

Especially after the 5-5-5 packages are announced!

I was ranked high so I survived, but sent to a new position. After days of failing to complete several tasks; I begged & bribed someone for help. She fixed all my problems in less than an hour. I asked her how.

The reply: first get ten years of experience and then just do it in minutes. I'm now a low ranked employee & soon to be gone.

Odd isn’t it. You folks do know they are paying the new hires A LOT more than existing tenured employees. I’ll give you an example, tenured employee getting paid $130k, new hire doing same job in same location: $180k. Tenured employee having to train the new person. Those are facts. Idk about you, but I’m leaving. I can get a job making a lot more somewhere else.

OP is right. It takes a good 5-8 years to learn the systems well enough to keep the core products humming. You can automate a lot, but I have seen automation fail badly on nonstandard orders. I have seen disconnect orders fail out. I can tell you where the most common issues are. A new person won’t know it.

At the same time, I have seen a lot of adversity by experienced people to change. I’ve also seen poor communication internally when something does change. I have whole tools that have migrated to new platforms where the platform was never communicated to anyone. That isn’t good either. I have seen training on irrelevant items and no training centered around the actual job I do. T has turned a blind eye to its problems for years.
