Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Does anyone believe VOE results

The overall moral in my department is quite low following a number of RIF’s. In fact a number of people refused to fill in the survey as a protest. Given what l’ve read and heard about SPS, I found it really surprising that the overall satisfaction in the division increased.
Something doesn’t quite add up, or else our business is an outlier.

A few years back, management was ragin' pi$$ed at the results of the VOE because they didn't get the answers they were looking for. In an Aero department meeting for avionics engineering, the douche in charge flat out refused to believe that people weren't happy and said that he was dissapointed and shocked at the results of the survey. He drank the koolaid early and often and was so full of arrogance and hubris that he couldn't see what was right in front of him. Two years later, the results were suddenly and amazingly awesome. That's because that douche (and the rest of the douches) got the HR trolls from the "yes men" division, that post fake glowing reviews of Honeywell on Glassdoor, to do the VOE as well. Satisfied with their awesome results, the douches gave themselves bigger bonuses that included more ho----s and blow for all.

I did all 5s in mine - gave him a glowing review. This way I have subverted the survey without being obvious and they can't come back on me for anything. Fck em.

But the block system IS tied to the bonus percentage you may receive....... so the better you look if all your team respond and will likely influence your line manager come HPD.
I know it did with mine.

The questions are stupid, and the results get lumped into a score for each manager, even though most of the questions are about how you feel about the company, not your manager. So you can be a great manager and still get slapped around because people are frustrated with the company. Silly AF. Also, it has zero to do with bonuses, but could be used to keep a manager at a 5 block if their manager wants to.

True! Our director really made a point, almost threatening us, to fill the surveys in. Kept saying he will know if any of us haven't. That clearly means it can effect his bonus or else he would not give a damn.

It’s all about management getting a good turnout on the survey. Who cares if it’s negative. Corporate doesn’t care. So if 95% of the people filled out, they probably offer the management bonuses.
Then their propaganda begins. We had 98% participation in the survey. The few people that write anything positive. They’ll be bragging about it when they show the results. The negative results they will lie about.

If you have 90% negative results, the company will state. We only had 5% to 8% negative results. Then the post only the negative results that aren’t that bad. Since management hires all their friends. They will stand up for each other.

This is how they put down everybody else who doesn’t believe in their propaganda. You’re always so negative and stop spreading false propaganda.. They use this line in Minneapolis, Minnesota all the time.

Satisfaction increased because of layoffs. Simple.

Company does not care. They only work on what they think is important.
Employee concerns do not count.

I can’t attend townhalls because I must maximize direct customer labor. Townhalls are for managers not workers.

It's all how you ask the question.
Example:
Do you feel that executives have communicated to you their vision?

This becomes something like:
Did you attend the annual town hall?

If you attended, you must be happy because you were communicated to.
When in actuality you don't have a clue what's going on, or worse yet, disagree with the direction.

Our department found that there is a critical mass to get issues addressed. Coordinate so you all bring up the same issues, raising the likelyhood that it gets addressed. Being constructive helps too... not just "this stinks" and instead "this stinks bit could be better if we had some potpourri".

Just like every thing else this company does, the results are a complete fabrication. There is no way the satisfaction is even half of what the VOE indicates.

If you want to increase you chance of a Riff an honest VOE review may help.
As for morale, everyone in my team and those we work with are miserable. It is the worst I have known in a decade working here. The only exception is our director who is overpaid, underworked and would never get such a position anywhere else and would stab you in the back in a second!

If people refuse to fill out the VOE as a form of protest, Honeywell will appreciate not having the negative reviews. We need to fill it out honestly at least. However, I understand that there are those who would fill out the VOE and then feel their livelihood threatened because we all know that the VOE is anything but anonymous.
