Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Business, T-studios, Marketing

They say consumer is done with layoffs. What about Business? When will that happen? Also what about T-studios? Were they hit? And when will marketing know?

Marketing will be impacted last. IIRC, around the 15th if not later. It's a big org. Like the previous poster, people (mostly remote teams) have been given notice already.

Callie’s team did have layoffs. In one call center there were about 50 people impacted. Not to mention account managers. She did say on the all hands call that TFB was done

"I heard TFB layoffs have been canceled. Has this been verified?

No, they haven't "been cancelled".

I don't have nor would I provide a verification source lol. If you are a TFB employee you have this in your email. If not you don't need to know.

T-Studios is coming after and around NPI (Magenta then Metro NPI), though some people I know in TS have already gotten notice/impacted in Frisco and OP.

It's coming in trickles and everyone is on edge which makes me sense that a lot of T-Studio people will be cut across the full channel. Also, a lot of the remote team has gotten the "Relocate or Resign" discussion from the leads since they're really pushing RTO and want everyone at an HQ (or larger hub). Not sure if the remote team is being offered severance or a bump in compensation if they do relocate, so can't speak to that.

The CCO meeting with Peter wasn't unhelpful and he all but danced around the layoff discussion when multiple people brought it up. (All they wanted to talk about was that cr-ppy Metro Nada Yada campaign...) Tracey did send out an email the week of Mike's letter, but I'm surprised we haven't heard much more from our leads, I think they're all waiting until after NPI and the cuts to talk to the team. Lots of people are taking it hard.

TFB was included in both rounds, including last week. I spoke to many who were impacted.

TFB is a strange org. A lot of directors with very few employees underneath them.

All employees under Callie are safe. TFB is not laying off any employees. I repeat. TFB is not laying off any employees.

The MIX org, which includes tstudios has not been hit yet. The assumption is that the ax won’t fall until after the iPhone announcement the week of the 12th.
