I'm 35. What is this thread going to accomplish? You have no idea if these are honest answers. Judging by some of the "69" answers, especially.

If you are over 40 will you receive a list of job titles, age of employee and if the employee was selected or not selected for termination. It is a requirement of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and is federal law. Everyone in my group selected for termination is over 40 years old. Age discrimination is real. Older employees get paid more so they are more likely targets.
“ They spent money on a darn camera wall, but are cutting employees to save cost.”
I think I know what wall you’re talking about!
Not yet in an affected group but given my age (61) time in service (19 years) and salary, I think I've got a nice big bullseye on my back.
Hopefully they give us a blindfold and a cigarette.

- 2 years. But my team were also ket go with 25 years there 50 plus age. They spent money on a darn camera wall, but are cutting employees to save cost. Now that HR survey we did awhile back is starting to make sense.
- 10 years with T-Mobile/metro
The severance paperwork will usually show age of those let go.
You would have a hard time proving ageism.
Remember the money they are spending on legal could keep several hundred employees.
41, only 2 years with TMo and always remote. Not sure my age had anything to do with the decisions to get rid of my role.

- 23 years with Sprint then T-Mobile. White, straight male.
