You just a UUID. 99% of coworkers are not your friends. Keep your opinions to yourself, show up on time, do your job at least 70% effort, go home and don’t look back. Work to live. Don’t live to work.
Many also believe that extra efforts/work or getting their “name out there” will ‘save’ them. It doesn’t matter if a VP+ knows your name or what your working…unless they’re willing to “go to bat” for you come layoff time. You have to be extra ‘special’ for them to pull strings on your behalf. Just being a “good worker”/high performer or “well known” is NOT enough!

T isn’t playing the discounted price game like Spectrum, it is not sustainable. They already have a large customer base and don’t need to take a loss for customer acquisition.
They really aren’t , they are actually realizing that their business as usual approach is nearing an end. The days of throwing billions at an acquisition to distract the board , Wall Street and employees over poor performance is over. They can’t hide anymore. Everyone sees that they only have one option, laying people off. Once you get to that point , it’s all but over. You’ll notice there is no technology and innovation coming out of T, valuable spectrum is being picked up by the other tier 1 telecom companies because we just can’t afford it. You see more joint ventures because these , if successful will be completely spun off. This is the worst case scenario for T. Finally, something as simple as a mobile rate plan analysis should tell you everything you need to know, T for 1 line $80, Spectrum for 1 line $29…….it won’t take long for the loyal T customers to churn given the economics of it.
It’s a sad ending to a once vibrant, driven and respected company.
