Pros

Tech stack is great for a credit card company. Benefits are very good. Good work/life balance. Total compensation is really good depending on the level includes generous bonus and LTI.

Cons

Outdating performance management processes creating a horribly toxic culture. People in people manger roles without training or experience add to toxic culture. Performance management is a stacked ranking/forced distribution system where a certain percentage are rated "below" which can impact your compensation up to no bonus at all. Further the process is FULL of bias and a popularity contest. Really, really think twice before applying for roles at this company.

Advice to Management

The All Associate Survey every year recommends management get rid of the stacked ranking system. That clearly has never happened. Please review the feedback from your associates and make some changes. Oh and STOP calling yourself a Tech Company, you aren't.

Richie has told HR that he won’t ever change the performance management system. Why? He has billions in his savings accounts, has a successful/profitable company and he believes his formula has worked.

Thank you for telling us what we suspected. I was told unless we got feedback from those higher in level to your current level it means nothing. The stack rankings are biased and discriminated against a lot of people. It IS harassment and bullying.

I’m a previous UM who spent over 10 years writing MY and EOY reviews, and can assure you the feedback you solicit in Workday is not used and most times even looked at. If your manager or Senior/Department manager wants you Below Strong you will be BS. It’s 100% politics and favoritism and bullying.

I've solicited so much feedback from Workday there is no one left to ask and all because these beasts like to stack rank.
