Ending the Hybrid work schedule, Cr-ppy CIP

You can tell that weasel MW wants to get rid of the hybrid schedule and is already counting on a low CIP. Up your MW!

There are plenty of people that still aren't doing the 3-day hybrid thing and nothing happens to them. Who cares if they end hybrid? Show up when you feel like it; no one will know the difference.

If they end hybrid, that would start by putting back Mondays. Many companies with 9/80s already had remote work for the Fridays on before COVID, just not CVX.

Hope it's a rumor or at least a few more years off.

When I was hired they promised me a great work environment, camaraderie, team-building, ample opportunities for advancement, great pay and benefits, etc. etc., That all went out the door after about a year. So be careful what you wish for. Is the only thing new hires are concerned with now- the number of days doing the week that they can fake-work and still get paid? That's pretty sad.

When I hire on at a company I am so confident in myself that I go straight to the layoff site page for that company and see what my chances look like, lol.

Ending hybrid work and granting a low CIP just sets the groundwork for getting people to quit (no cost) rather than firing them (big severance costs and HR and Legal involvement). See the other thread about the tell-tale signs of the looming 2024 layoffs!

Yes, of course, because after all, none of us should have to work anywhere where we have to actually show up every day and do work. That's totally ridiculous lmao!

I’d like to see y’all survive outside Chevron …sometimes the grass is greener on the other side but some of us are allergic to it

"Without good technology good luck competing." Our tech is already in the toilet ... can't run a live 60 minute session without tech problems. Imagine what shape the systems we actually need to support the company are in.

Save as much as you can and quit. MW and his cronies will not change.

Did anyone else notice the technology glitches, ranging from inaudible audio to transmission pausing, during yesterday’s call. Be careful about upsetting IT because maybe they will make your technological life miserable.

He is a terrible CEO for the employees. He is going to really harm the rank and file here even though shareholders are getting major increases. Morale is brutally low. He's constantly after IT to cut costs which has destroyed morale in CTC. Without good technology good luck competing. Outsourcing overseas is not going to be as good as he thinks it will be.
