You would get around 2 years severance pay in the SE per the district 3 contract if you had enough seniority.

Too bad the OP will spend all their “cash” on pork rinds, Marlboro Lights , QVC and new skirting for the trailer…then what ?

VTP is a contractual agreement.

When does you contract expire?
You will be let go the next day.

With 2 years pay, not 6 months pay.

OP will probably buy a $75 K pickup truck to drive to the unemployment office and then complain about the gas prices.

I've already got this amount saved up. Who cares. All mine is post-tax. Any severance I get is sauce for the goose. I'd be angry that my union wasn't doing enough to keep good tech jobs, and instead is letting them get contracted out to scabs.

Union guys sure aren't what they used to be.

You'll get that only if you're actually laid off because it certainly won't be offered as a VTP.
SBC doesn't play that game, only ATT was compassionate enough to make those offers to bargained for personnel. SBC hasn't done it since 2017.

So, 2-year payout, probably wrong but guessing that the payout might be $170K -$200K+ ? probably higher, now take out about 30% for taxes and deductions that knocks $50-$60K off the top - -so about $5K -12K + a month if you average it out for 2 -years, now you go to work somewhere else ..Rock-On

You only get VTP if there is a surplus. Chances are the person claiming they will take VTP will stay on payroll and just let the junior person get laid off.
