The HC can be difficult to use to as--s to scope of any layoff. During the Sambar town hall on 8/30 some dude from talent acquisition said T hires 30k-40k people per year.

Because the HC never seems to increase to reflect this number of hires it suggests there is a lot of turnover. At the same time this guy said how people are so impressed with what T has to offer, etc.

Blackrock owns a lot of ATT. Blackrock owns a lot of real estate in Atlanta and Dallas.

Post from TheLayoff.com

The people that were recalled to the office are less available now (on Teams) because of lunches (which they used to eat while working) and water cooler talk and often seem to consider their commute time as part of their workday.

I don't see any way that the "new" in-office culture will increase productivity. What I think it will do is ensure that AT&T keeps their tax breaks in hub cities for bringing people into urban cores.

It is difficult to as--s the surplus using HC. The truth is there a couple thousand openings they are filling. This is no lie, the openings are documented.

People defending WFH productivity like the company cares. They aren’t going back to it ….ever.

I don't think the guy that posts head count posts like weekly it's when they can get the numbers together

I’m working less than the average person but still I’m making $75 an hour because I’m so efficient.

"WFH employees absolutely work less than office employees. Any one of them that says otherwise still believes in the Easter Bunny."

I worked in office all thru covid, personal reasons. Started wfh more often a few months ago. Definitely put in longer hours and get more done when I wfh. Still days when I'm not slammed I prefer in office. I'm one of the few who finds in office collaboration productive.

Where can we look to find current headcount? Based on the layoff dates on the form on HR Onestop there will be monthly layoffs till 11/23 for sure this year. I’m betting the headcount by 11/17/23 will be under 135k

That HC still has two weeks at least on payroll and will still be in WebPhone.

They are unable to provide that update anymore. They were impacted with Fridays layoffs.
