Return-to-office orders look like a way for elite, work-obsessed CEOs to grab power back from employees

Experts say RTO orders come from elite, often male CEOs who prioritize work over work-life balance.

Here's the problem with WFH. People put in more hours, but they're less productive overall during those hours. If you know when people star and stop their workdays, you know to catch them before 5 and to keep all your meetings efficient to maximize the time. The rest of us prefer RTO so we can draw lines between work and family time.

"CEO deserve the power to make the RTO call. Until you become 1, just do as you're told."

And how do CEOs deserve this power? What have they done that merits power other then claw their way to the top? Why do you revel in the power of these clowns? What is wrong with you?

This move doesn't need to be analyzed based on the identity or types of persons giving the orders within the various companies instituting RTO.

The order is coming from Blackrock, State Street and Vanguard, just like DEI/ESG.

Corporate America is captured by a few oligarchs.

Ask yourself why would a company initiate RTO where WFH would be the obvious choice in a truly free market?

Answer: Because it benefits the oligarchs.

RTO looks like a way to utilize all that real estate that they can't dump for 50¢ on the dollar. That albatross, that brand new headquarters that they blew all that money on comes to mind.

(RTO requiring relocation is a force adjustment program.)

Let's call them what they are. They are psychopaths who are destroying American business. It will take an economic collapse to end them.

Such smug naiveté in the C-Suite.

I put it more hours with WFH than I ever would at an office. Sometimes the best ideas came late at night or on a quiet Saturday morning when everyone else was sleeping in.

Legg, if he really does have a history as a developer, certainly would understand this. (I have my doubts). He drank the kool-aid when he signed up to be Stankey's minion.

I'll just go do this for someone else now. Your loss, AT&T.
