Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Isn’t 5,000 corporate employees like 40% of the workforce ?

Are they leaving a skeleton crew in corporate like back in the DT days ?

A lot of teams and whole teams at the Bellevue HQ were let go after Mike's email same day without real warning of being in danger. It was more worse than a bandaid getting ripped off, but more of an amputation of sorts.

Note:
Some teams were punted around like a football and landed in technology when they were not technology prior to... only to be let go.

In Technology, many roles being impacted are not corporate. People managers and ICs. ~20% planned. The 7% figure is companywide, but the depth of cuts varies by org.

Y'all su-k at math. 70,000 minus 50k retail and care = 20,000. 5000 is 25% of 20,000.

No it’s about 7% but retail and care are 50kish so back office and technology would be about 16% cut.
