Had the fine opportunity to sit in anonymously in an agile scrum call this morning. Heard a whole monologue on how this one person cooked so much fine steak for their family over the past few weeks that their wives have shut them down.
Im guessing the inflation in this economy doesnt have any bearing on the overall economic perspective for some of the elitists at Wells Fargo so they feel that its ok to freely mock others as peons and peasants who can barely afford to buy their lunch at the office.
It really felt like a cast system in live action on that call. Very sad that some people dont realize how blessed they are and use it to put others down by flaunting their first world culinary problems especially in a sensitive time where there are layoffs weekly.

I hate our scrum ceremonies. Our PO and SM won't shut up. They can ramble for hours.

Love this. At Pacific Life annuities we had this Columbia University educated lady over the Agile programs dear god she was insufferable. While we all trained our replacements in Mumbai over Web Ex her daily linked in posts were like “Another fine Agile Tuesday 3:pm, Tim played his ukulele while we drank fine wine and pontificated on the future of digital transformation co-created with our servant leadership method……”

Thats not cool, i guess some ppl just set out to make others feel bad in order to make themselves look better. its a known human behavior fault. My agile calls are brief, no one needs to be on those things longer than they should be.
