Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Care Customer Experience & nResource Planning likely getting hit

Heard from 2 reputable sources that mid-Friday 08/19, their teams were pulled into a meetings that told them to update their resume and they don't know what will happen but to spend the day updating their resumes and once a decision is made, they will have 30 minutes to get everything out of their PCs until the intranet completely cuts them off.

One of them is part of NRP under but isn't in a CEC type role. It's support and it's NOT remote. The other CE group is CEC compliant but we're pulled into a similar meeting.

Neither are technically remote. Who else got this talk?

There is for sure company wide massive layoffs happening upcoming week. Director confirmed and management is scrambling to prepare.

Update resume, update profile in workday, prepare for the worst, even if you survive this round know that you may get cut in one of the upcoming ones. This will be ongoing for awhile

You were told to update your resume because your manager does not know what's happening either. The unfortunate truth is 99% of us don't and are operating (rightfully so) out of fear. All ANYONE has at the moment are rumors that spread panic. Yes layoffs are coming, no we don't know how many, yes it may impact everyone other than Frontline. That's all fact, if you fall into any of those buckets you should ALWAYS have your resume updated.

Being told to update your resume is a common tool in a supervisors bag for dealing with layoff uncertainty. You see it as advice littered in many of these threads. We all know something is coming. For consumer org Frier said it is so all we are left to do is speculate wildly.
