3 months ago I put in for a vacation, only to have 4 of my 5 days approved . Sm--k in the middle of my vacation my manager didn’t approve one day stating there isn’t coverage that day. I’m not the only one this has happened to. We have had 2 managers on vacation at the same time with one on LOA and they didn’t have their vacations interrupted . This is BS. Now I have to call in that day and use PPTO because she will not change that day to approve

Have you gone to your GM? Sometimes they will override and approve it.
Call off. Take the point. Save your ppto. Screwem. Point only lasts 6 months. I do this occasionally and have over 210 hours of ppto.

What this manager is doing is purposeful hinderance of associate benefits for the sole reason of messing with the associate !!! That manager knows that person will call off anyway so why not approve the date other than simply messing with the associate?? I wish there were a way to punish managers who are abusive this way. Calling ethics is fruitless. Only thing we can hope is that manager will have a real sweet date with Karma.
Yes, had this happen to me as well, just made me have an extremely bad attitude and work less harder and call out more👍
this is typical of how the company operates now. insufficient staffing, skeleton crews, no room for error....if someone is on vacation or there is a call out, things turn to a cluster phu(k. there's never proper coverage. use your ppto & let them pick up the pieces.

You could go to your manager or CM if they still refuse and point out you are unable to make it in the middle of your vacation that you will be calling out and using your PPTO. All you can do is Prepare the Others.
I know all I would have to do is put it back in, I was told it still would not get approved .
She can’t change it.
