Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The worst kind of managers

Do they train managers here to throw you under the bus just to protect themselves even for the smallest things? I've yet to meet a HON manager who's willing to admit he was wrong or who is willing to stand up for his employees. And I've been here going on five years. Does HON specifically attract this kind of manager?

These guys are just following orders. It a small handful of malevolent narcissists at the top who are driving all of the stupid decisions, the middle and line level managers are all just trying to avoid the wrath of the people in the layer above them.

Managers are feckless shields for the corporate agenda.
If you are worried about petty issues with your boss then you deserve honeywell.

Karma always shows up. It may take a very long time but the people who have thrown people under the bus and abused their authority to satisfy their greed will eventually answer for it. The people who have the power to change it and don’t, will also face the music in time.

My direct leadership has always fought for people who deserve it, and I’ve always fought for my staff. That said, my direct leadership has never been a HON appointee and pre-HON culture stubbornly shines through the toxic cloud of Honeywell’s mismanagement.

Once upon a time there were good managers whom stood up for their employees, unfortunately they were let go.

They also have a much high percentage of down-and-outs and new immigrants who are willing to put up with such nasty grifters, and therein lies the problem.

This management philosophy started when the former Allied Signal Company acquired Honeywell. It’s never been the same - shameful. I wish VK the best of luck reversing this trend and restoring the company to its former glory.

Hahaha, Honeywell has mastered the art of employing the most under qualified sc-mbags for managers. It is truly impressive how bad most of them are, trouble is it is the only business in America that has standards so low so when these guys get in they will do anything to stay!

My manager constantly flings mud on his reports. They’re (the reports) the scapegoat at all times. He also withholds information from them so they aren’t in loops they need to be in to preform their jobs. It’s gotten very bad in the last few years as more and more people are cut. The people left are struggling with the resulting increased workload. More stress = more need for scapegoats on managers part. No teams here- it’s every man for themselves. I don’t see things changing at HW, ever. If you can get out? Do so.

If you have those qualifications, you can get promoted. During the interview. What type of qualifications do you have. Which would make you a match for this position. You don't need any. You're hired.
