Once you are laid off from this sh&tshow you are gone for good. Wells Fargo does not want to retain you, keep you or help you get another position. I was displaced in May after 25 years with mortgage. I have been applying to jobs and have landed only one interview. No job offers even though the pay is 30 percent less. I am over qualified but willing to take the pay cut. So all the lip service when you are laid off telling you to apply for other jobs is pure BS

I just got the thanks for applying we have a more qualified person for a job I was clearly qualified for. They are not taking anyone they axed. So all of the money they spend on that worthless LHH is a waste
Wells Fargo has no intention of rehiring anyone they axed. There used to be a StAR program in the past with temporary positions which is gone. They do NOT want us. I hope this place crashes and burns. The way they treat employees is despicable. Ask yourself why you would ant to be here anyway?
It’s definitely getting tight out here. Very few recruiters reaching out. Even contract jobs which were plenty are proving elusive. But I’m taking the time to retool spend quality time with the kids and catch up on a few of my favorite shows. I’m sure the tide will eventually change. Best of luck.
Sadly, I think some other banks and employers consider WF employees as “guilty by association” and that’s making things worse to get interviews.

Another piece of evidence that Hudson Yards is carrying out a war on domestic employees. None of the excuses they roll out have any basis in reality. Next year there will be more of them, and they will be lies as well. They just want to exterminate us. All of us. Bootlickers, revolutionaries and everyone in between. They despise us and want us all gone.
- We are laid off, we send applications everyday and rarely get interviews. Some of my interviews have zero sincerity in hiring. One of my interviews is clearly for finance and data science, HR interviews well, then the hiring mgr says he is hiring a chat bot engineer instead. Really?
- They say needing high skill workers, and can't find enough labor. We need more H1B visa quota to fill the labor short supply.

It’s awful that WF puts effort, time and money into programs that focus on hiring outside when they could spend those same resources to retain and retrain employees before/after displacement. I can’t recall the name of the program where WF specifically hires people who voluntarily left the job force for x years. And even the college grad hiring program — they will get job offers at lots of places and are just starting out. The people WF has displaced are losing job/money they already had vs the college student who didn’t have a job at all yet. I’m not saying college grads don’t need a job, but I am saying there should be more concern about taking care of your current and recently displaced people as a bigger priority!
There are good and needed people who are being displaced at WF. I hate what WF has become.
Just look at the down trend in weekly job posts here at the bank. Everyone jumped on the same bandwagon to drive attrition and force employees back into an office. Heck, the president of Ukraine is talking to the UN about global warming. Something in the world is wrong right now. People and companies are jacked up. Nobody is thinking about you. Take control of your career or someone will do it for you. Yes, WF is pretty lousy. So are all corporations. All jobs have narcissistic psychopaths running them.
That makes no sense. Why is applying for other jobs after you are laid off BS? What is the non BS option? You sit there and let the jobs find you?
I have applied for over 200 jobs and have had one interview. The tech job market is right for sure, not what the media is telling us.
It’s rough out there right now, the economy is definitely worse than what they’re saying. It feels like we’re already in a recession.
