Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I don’t know about you - but I take comfort in knowing that the person running this bank is the only person who said yes to the job.

He talked our Board in to making him the the highest paid banking CEO in 2020, so that means he is an excellent self- promoter.

He makes $24.5 million per year while laying off $20 per hour hard-working employees, so that means he doesn’t let common decency or moral character get in the way of profits. That’s what “they” say we need in a good CEO.

He can talk the talk without ever walking the talk. I think he has a bright future in politics, so we’re lucky to have him before he moves up to controlling the fate of larger populations.

He is sending American jobs overseas, which shows that he truly cares about the people of other countries.

The man has a wonderfully quirky sense of humor. He said we would be out from under the Asset Cap no later than the end of 2021.

He took our middle layers of management, so I’m assuming he will start sharing the resulting profits with employees who have taken on more work sometime soon….

We should all thank our Board for not attracting a different CEO. We could be out from the Federal Asset Cap and having to deal with all the pressures of growing without limitation, striving for excellence, setting the standard for Best in Banking, servicing the rapid influx of new customers, surviving a dynamic work environment (a.k.a., stressful!), all that “equal pay for equal work” bs (y’all know men deserve more, blue bloods deserve more), no hope for severance packages, demanding internal promotions, unbalanced 401Ks jam-packed with company stock soaring in value…rank-and-file employees becoming millionaires: too much pressure!

Thank goodness Charlie said Yes (after a 40% pay bump)!!

With all that money he should be able to obtain a public speaking coach. We could create a drinking game for every time he says um. Watching his town halls are painful.

Were they asking more people after he said yes? It’s like the saying “I always find it the last place I look”…

Charlie was the ONLY person on Wall Street interested in taking this job. Hence his compensation.

We should be holding BOD accountable for such an abysmal hire.
