Layoffs will start on 10/31 along with the terminations at PDC. It provides cover for management to kick a few more to the side of the road. Don't look for a good package. Those days are over.
My department boasted that 80% of the interns were diverse (aka non-white). The next year they boosted the number to 100%. Then almost all the interns s#cked. That’s what happens when you choose people based on immutable qualities instead of merit and accomplishments.

@2sdp, you can't make discoveries if you aren't drilling! Chevron exploration is now all about downsizing, posturing, meetings, JEDI, and pushing incompetent and ineffective high-pots through management positions. With some luck (and acqusitions), they can have a Nargis about once every ten years (about the time frame of the last "world class" discovery).
Chevron to make world class petroleum reservoir discoveries… some day soon.
White males are absolutely discriminated against. I'm all for diversity but are we truly diverse if all white males are laid off. They are the first to go in a layoff and it doesn't matter how good their skills are. Few are left as it is.
99% of white males are not on the executive leadership team.
A small percentage of white males will continue to whinge about being discriminated against despite still making up 80% of executive leadership. Not a very spicy rumor, I know.
