Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

We used to have good claims service

Then support was gutted, adjusters were laid off, processes were made incomprehensibly complicated, and it became impossible to get a mistake corrected. Lawyers know how bad it is at Allstate, and they are circling for the ki-l, ie bad faith with large judgments. The only people who have come out ahead after Transformative (non)Growth are litigious lawyers who are licking their lips!

@1sab+1o1zCqD3 is 100% right.

I really TRIED to help people when I worked in claims, but…..
The dreaded 5:29 pm inquiry call - some guy trying to extend rental so he could get to work. The Powers that Be took away all rental authority.
Pay an extra $10 or $20 to settle a claim cuz it’s the little things that pi-s people off and suddenly it’s litigated!
Fix a mistake, any mistake? Too bad the only person who knew how was laid off!
The list goes on.
Allstate claims became a nightmare job and I couldn’t leave fast enough.
Don’t blame employees!

The downward spiral of the quality of Claims service at Allstate is a result of several factors:

  • Allstate's joke Transformative Growth that was only intented to make money for TW and his hiney sniffers.
  • Horribly inept, unintelligent, and unprofessional Claims leaders and leadership.
  • The egos and self importance of many Claims employees who think they are irreplaceable resulting in lowering of effort, following of processes, and overall decline in work ethic. A total release and revamp of the Claims work force to get rid of the toxicity and lost causes would actually improve Allstate Claims.
  • The implementation of processes designed to lowball Claims settlements and to victim shame the policy holders for losses.
  • Throwing a lot of the Claims process back on the premium paying insured with added self service and the mindset that it is the insured's responsibility to handle parts of the adjusting process.

All the above is just the tip of the iceberg. Allstate Claims is an utter disaster and bona fide sh-t show anymore.

Yet in the Agent Conference today Troy acts as if it's the lawyers fault for over litigation... this is not the chicken or the egg.... if you fire everyone that could have fixed the problems and paid claims in a correct and timely manner, that's bad faith...
