Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF Exiting Portland or Not?

I was under the impression that WF was exiting Portland (most recently made apparent through closing multiple sites Montgomery Park, Sunset, and soon Barnhart)? What is this job posting for exactly? And in a Lake Oswego office building? Since when did we get an office there?

It's not WFA. They are at 5400 Meadows. This address at 5000 Meadows is for mortgage.

Thank you!! Meadows is right off of Kruse Way, so this is the answer I was looking for.

As previously said, Portland is not a core market. This could be for a client facing group?

Rando McGee’s comment is NOT going to age well. Come back here on October third.

There’s a small building on Boone’s ferry. Investment group?

Nobody has announced Barnhart closure. Some random jabroni on here claimed they “know someone” at Washington County that confirmed it, which as a reminder, is not credible at all.

I believe one of Sharts directs is still in the tower. As long as that's the case we'll probably have at least 1 floor of that building leased. Everyone else's days are numbered.

Did they announce Barnhart closing?

There's probably some executive there that's exempt from the hub strategy. It's happening throughout the bank, and hypocritical AF.

Hmm this is interesting. Can someone check teamworks if anyone is currently located at 5000 Meadows Rd in Lake Oswego? I’d do it but I was laid off earlier this year. Thanks!

Portland is not a hub

It looks like they changed their minds? Maybe it’s going to be a hub?

Jobs will continue to be posted normally until the last hour. For example, my role was actively conducting interviews for people at my location until the day that we were notified of the layoffs at our site. Layoff and site-closure news isn't shared with managers until the night before they happen, and it's business-as-usual operations until the executives sign off on the layoffs. I was newly hired into my role just a few months before my entire group was laid off (ECR in Hillsboro).
