has anyone heard anything new as of this week? other than the high probability, meetings will be sent out to notify those effected thursday evening.

I thought usually it'd be via phone call and typically occurs early Fridays.
Email in the evening? This doesn’t sound right. Never known that to occur.
When it comes, it will initially be a phone call from either your manager and/or your AVP. Once the calls start they seem to try and get them all done by a preset time, then most likely will be a short notice 15-30 minute team or org call that will go something like this.. "today was a tough day...needs of the business..the company's taking a new directions....thought & prayers...word salad..word salad, let's be sensitive to our fellow coworkers who were notified, etc, etc"
