Honeywell routinely RIFs right before the major holidays. It’s baked into the AOP. It’s been going on like that for the 16 years I’ve been here. It’s expected. They don’t call it “RIF-mass” around here for nothing. Also why they revamped the 401k match back around 2016 timeframe- RIF before the 12/15 date- save a boatload of cash- executive gets big FAT year end bonus. People who weren’t lucky enough to make the RIF list get a lot more work loaded up on their already overloaded plate. Personally, I think we’re close to the end now- they can’t cut much more without the wheels coming completely off. No matter how many fresh out of college newbies they hire to replace the higher paid knowledge people they tossed. I expect to see a furlough every quarter going forward too. The ONLY thing leadership cares about here is making sure their pockets are well lined. That’s it.

Honeywell will never RIF that close to Christmas or any other days close to a holiday. Its just bad publicity

Since you have to be employed until December 15 to get any 401K matching, you can see the type of money HW saves when RIFs occur before that date.

Since JW pushed out JK and became chief commercial disaster, sales incentives are paid later and later. They are changing AOP and how SIP is paid midyear again. There is zero integrity to the process now. It’s self sabotaging. Sales people who don’t get paid, stop selling. They leave or they just stop selling and collect their base salary working minimal days. He is going to destroy sales like he destroyed SPS. I predict before Christmas HON is going to have a big crisis as the market continues to improve and HON continues to plummet. Without new business and orders to drive cash flow, margin will cease to be enough.
I got a nice Riffmass present 10 days before the 401k vesting date.
Honeywell has zero ethics.
