Banking Industry Full of Jerks and A-Holes

My buddy and I (both who have worked at more than one large top 20 bank) were talking today about how we both will never work in the banking industry again. It seems to be full of elitist, shxtbags. It is a ruthless business, all about short term thinking, money grubbing, step on anyone's toes to get ahead. It doesn't matter if its a $2T, $25B or $4B bank. They all su-k. Some of the biggest azzholes I've met in my life were at banks. Why does it attract such shxtheads?

Just look at this site as an example, all the posts about WF executives as an example. This is clearly not an industry that wins friends and influences people!

The big bank toxicity starts at the top and flows down through the layers of management willing to support it. A recipe for an asset cap never going away.

All the A-holes and jerks I've ever heard of in banking are in NYC. Outside of that there's a lot of great people.

Yes. Full of narcissists & covert sociopaths. There ARE good people just making a decent living, but the narcs & paths ruin it for everyone.
