Just got the blast email about the new employee handbook. The first thing on the site is a FRENCH PDF VERSION of the employee handbook to download. And yep, I downloaded it and it is in french. What the heck Wells?! This company just makes absolutely NO SENSE any more!

How do they say "doesn't matter because you're all getting downsized and offshored to India anyway" in French?
Would it make you feel superior to know that the English version of the handbook is right on the very page you’re already viewing? You don’t even have to click on a link. It’s just right there.
I bet anything in a French language HR handbook was way better for employees than anything US employees can expect
one side in HR is firing remote workers in Canada. Meanwhile other side in HR is writing policies for remote workers in Canada. This bank is a joke.
The person above who mentions the regulatory requirement is absolutely correct. Anything going to employees in Quebec is required to be in their native language- communications, policies, training.
There are employees in Quebec! Fire the moro who came up with that location strategy
Fuuuuuck Canada. Seems HR is tring to justify their FU.
Thank you very much OP for demonstrating your lack of understanding regarding, business, banking, and more specifically employment regulations. I do not have it handy, but in Quebec we have employees who only speak french, or if they prefer to speak french vs. english we must accommodate them. It is a law in Quebec and the bank needs to adhere to it. Any other misguided questions?
It was supposed to be in Hindi
Lower your expectations. The shitshow continues.
