FirstNet Comp Changes

I'm a FN CSE and I just heard from my sales manager that our comp will likely be changing in January where any activation processed by an SP will only give us 75% credit. Up until now, we have alway been dual comp and could partner with solution providers with no issue. Anyone else here this?

Wow I'm amazed they'd even give you 75%, should be 25% it's time for FN to actually work.

This is one of the good things the company is doing to cut cost . (Or probably the only good thing )

Hey “retail folks” , try selling stuff yourself without waiting for a handout.

How would it work with retail folks? Can the seller hand it off to a retail store? Still get paid the 100%

OPS whine shows how out of touch the FN team is the rest of us have been living with SP comp reductions for years agree they need to buckle up and will find it difficult in the new role they cry about losing FN in their job title and being just a mobility seller who the look down on and arrogantly feel falsely superior to.

As a current mobility CSE, I think the Firstnet reps will be in trouble come Sept 1 when they all become mobility CSEs, and own an actual module and will have to sell new business and grow revenue like we do. There are a handful of good Firstnet sellers however most are inept at best and won't be able to hide their incompetence for long, in my experience most don't really do anything- 1 that I know hides-and everyday says that they are "in the field and unavailable" so as to avoid actually having to work and most just wait for an ask from a mobility CSE, BAT seller. or SP who'll bring them in on an opportunity, then they basically try and pawn off any real work to someone else, going to be interesting to see how many will be managed out of the business in the next 6-8 months as they won't be able to hide behind new adds created by churn especially as their revenue numbers and paycheck decline, and their managers start to come under scrutiny when they start having to approve account credits for bad decisions that the Firstnet CSE -won't be able to blame on someone else.

Buckle up buttercup. I negotiated fully a deal last year for fiber with the SP present. They didn’t lift a finger. They get 100% of the credit. We get nothing.

Enjoy your 75%.

Yeah, why not continue to pay 5 people on a new line they had nothing to do with selling. This is just one reason why T is in the trash can.

"It is already reduced for non FN CS’s as well."

Yes, it has been for a few years. I think the plan is to reduce the internal sales force to nothing and depend on partners for a majority of the corporate business.

It will get reduced to 50% very soon like wireline did. Short after 33%.

No reason to double comp from the same order

No complaining here. I have an SP who I partner with and knowing that I will take that hit is important so I can plan accordingly. I do think there's a good chance I will get nailed by the next round of cuts coming next month though.

Good. There is no need to pay 10 people on every activation. Such a scam.

Wow you will still get 75%? Lol it’s baffling to me people complain about getting comp cut for things they don’t even sell. No wonder this company is going bankrupt

ALL dual comp should be eliminated. Only pay for what YOU sell!
