I have worked for AT&T for over two decades. I worked from home for the last 14 years after my son was born with diagnosed with severe learning/emotional disabilities. We pay (part insurance, part out of pocket) for a full-time caregiver, as my son's mother is no longer in the picture. As part of the contract for the caregiver, a parent has to be available while the caregiver is present in case my son cannot be calmed down (essentially a toddler in a 16-year-old boy's body). The office I am assigned to is 49 miles away from my house and would be a 60-90 minute drive each day through a central metropolitan area. I was not designated a TW and applied for a work accommodation. Well, my work accommodation due to my heavily disabled son was just denied as we have a full-time caregiver.
I've dedicated more than half my life and almost all my career to AT&T, and this is the thank I get, F*** You, Stankey! F this company, Peace out!
