New union leadership

Claude Cummings was sworn in as the new president of the communications workers of america today. He was the vice president of district 6 covering the att southwest and att mobility purple agreement. He is the first att employee to be the president of the cwa in 25 years. Hopefully he will start turning the tide on surplus and outsourcing.

Congrats to his promotion. being a union member always feel like i am not part of the union because i am not black. black union members always look the other way like i am not there. is it just me. makes me want to drop my membership because of this.

As said before: Unions can't stop any surplus. They only force the company to abide by the contractually agreed procedures when a surplus is called.

Look at the management cuts hitting now and by end of year, and dream on if you think union is going to stop your own cuts in a floundering low growth, high debt, badly run, very capital intense business with a big dividend sapping it daily. Not if, just when and how many. Union jobs gonna fall big too. But after management cut first. So laugh now union members, but your time will come too.
