Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Questions I don't have the answers to

Why is everything outsourced? Why is retail still open just shifting numbers around of current customers and not getting hardly any “new” customers so managers can just take home a car and employees sit around on social media. Why do techs ride around on trouble tickets and jobs just ki-ling time before closing them out so another isn’t loaded?

I'm a tech and I just sit around most days because Windstream has taken advantage of me for years. My leadership doesn't even notice it... or maybe they want to work less than I do. Either way - just quiet quit and start working on getting a job elsewhere. This shole needs to sink.

It's management by metrics. I have to justify my job by "demand" tickets and time on them.

This is their game, their rules. Don't be mad that we figured out how to play.

Oddly there are techs at windstream that have nothing to do most days and skate behind BS tickets and refuse to take another ticket from a planner. Then there are other techs that can’t get all their tickets done on a daily or weekly basis. It’s like that everywhere. I think it’s ineffective management.
