Do you really want to be laid off? I do, and most people I know at work also want to be laid off, and everyone says they're not leaving until the company shows them the money. Haha it seems everyone wants to GTFO.

I want to get laid.
Two year pay termination package September 15th per contract :)
I asked to be laid off and was! Yay! Have my retiree benefits and six months severance, and just filed for unemployment. First non-holiday Monday in decades to do with as I want.
Keep talking about leaving but don't really do anything. Hoping the talk makes me feel better. Pretty much my life story.
I am MR75 also with a "few" bucks in the bank. I would love to be laid off, but like the OP, just hanging getting as much money out of this company for as long a possible.
Haha... the OP is lhao@easy $$ and is NOT miserable with job at all, just hanging out at work waiting for the two years pay termination package per CWA/T contract.
If you don’t like your job it’s a wasted life.
This job is just a hobby to me since I’m retirement eligible as well as social security eligible. I’m gonna stick around until this company shows me the money. At this point it’s money for nothing cuz it couldn’t be easier! Why leave when T throws lots of money at me for nothing!
“ Severance is capped at 6 months as of last month. It may have been reduced.“
Severance policy for management has been capped at 6 months since 2011 or so.
MR 75 means nothing for management anymore. Severance is capped at 6 months as of last month. It may have been reduced.
It is so very simple. Lay me off. MR75 eligible. Give me one year pay to leave voluntary or "force" me to leave involuntary and I receive 1 1/2 years pay. Either way, I'll place AT&T in the rear view mirror and move on.
Just quit instead of being miserable. Obviously you must realize you have no skill ls to find anything else
You are free to leave at any time? Make today count. Make tomorrow better!
