Last time I did strike duty, the two of us assigned to the shop (normally 6 techs) cleared the backlog of I&R that had been bogging them down for years. A week afterwords, the garage manager actually called us to tell us that accolades from customers worked their way through the system to them, thanking us for fixing the problems that the 'real' techs always managed to eff up.

What's the point of holding grudges against each other? In-fighting does nothing to benefit either of us, and the problem at the top won't go away.
If you want respect, then why not offer it first? You may just open some eyes, you know.
It would truly be funny if all 1st level managers did go out on strike. It would prove how meaningless their existence really is and how the real workers do all the work and have no need for their boss.
