Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Everyone is expendable

Don't believe for one second you're safe even if you're already in a hub/decide to move to a hub.

I left in 2019, and they had already started talking about moving to “collaboration zones.” I heard stories of people that had uprooted their families to move to Dallas or Atlanta and were told a few months later their jobs were being eliminated.

What non bargained for person at this point would really believe they have any level of job security remaining? We get it. I think it’s mainly the most recent folks caught in surplus that post this just to somehow make themselves feel better about their current situation. We’re not gloating. We get it, we’re very likely next in line.

Everyone has a number and when it’s called your out. For those who have a pension and aren’t quite to the rule of 75 have the most to lose.

“My Senior Director told us that we are all leased employees.”

“We were specifically told NOT to move to a HUB at this point.”

Who put this out?

If you have over 19 years of service, you are more expensive. Beware!

Correct. We were specifically told NOT to move to a HUB at this point. Because there is NO guarantee that will save your job in the next round. Fact!
