Is it badge swipes, log in time. Will there be video surveillance?

Iphone will rat you out 100% even when powered down.....Big brother is watching!
just go TO work, WTF!
"No reason to obsess over monitoring. Do your job and do it well from the location you are most productive."
Not going to happen because I'm most productive working from home. Developer, need to be able to concentrate, won't be possible when I'm assigned a 'workstation' at a table in call-center like hub.
The last building I was in you had to swipe to get in and also swipe to get out unless you follow someone else out of the building ; )
No reason to obsess over monitoring. Do your job and do it well from the location you are most productive. Plenty of other places hiring if that is not what T is looking for.
Don’t try to play with the system - they will get you - if they’re telling you go to the office 5 days a week for 8hrs, you do that.
there has always been video surveillance whether you knew it or not.
Every word spoken while on company property is recorded and may have video also. I had a supervisor that wanted to be buddies with his new crew and during his first meeting he talked negatively about the 2nd level and about his previous boss, a female that said he wasn’t qualified for his new position as a supervisor of a special services crew. This supervisor also said he couldn’t climb a ladder when he was a services technician because his knees and shoulders were bone on bone and became an inside wire SME. He was younger than everyone there. They got rid of him because he wasn’t knowledgeable with any of the technology or because he mouthed off at the meeting trying to act cool and they recorded him.
If they’re counting keystrokes then I better work less efficiently. More rework and thus more keystrokes here I come.
They will be actively monitoring and reporting your VPN Access the the C-Suite. Those who are supposed to be in-office but still have remote VPN logins authenticating will be dealt with. Don't try it. Report to the office from 8-5 during your allotted time assignments. They have surveillance ready to monitoring this starting THIS WEEK.
Leave your work phone at the office. This is how they are tracking you. Source- trust me bro
We all got Microchips implanted when we got the Covid Vaccination, They know everything about you even if you are just thinking it… Nothing new Privacy was gone years ago.
Access Badges, IP address for your COU Laptop, (cameras and Mics can be turned on remotely) COU phone via Mobile Iron. MS Teams calls are all recoded as well. we work for the phone company what do you think Big Brother is. We build the network and our customer pay to upgrade their trackers every few years Big Brother is here to stay.
I’m amazed some believe a technology big brother only uses card swipes. Everyone in my organization has applications that report everything. From what websites to time spent to how many widgets you performed down to the second. We call it spyware cause that’s what it is. It’s an att PC and COU and we even record every call you received or make. I know employees sent letters from security with warnings when speaking with friends. I believe AI will be there most valuable asset replacing employees in the near future,
It’s access cards and I was told my two managers they’re capturing your IP info.
My boss who was laid off, had gotten to monitoring our work from home by pulling reports to determine when you logged in, key strokes throughout the day, and logged off. During our weekly meetings she thought it appropriate to share who was working longest hours, and who wasn't. Personally, I thought it was unprofessional to share the info in a team call setting.
Access cards.
The new Global Protect VPN that replaced AnyConnect turns your laptop location services on.
They sold the product to you as “helping“ you stay connected.
Go ahead, type in location services and check. Only the “administrator” can turn it off. When your laptop is online they know exactly where you are.
Who cares folks. Show up, give them 8 good hours and leave. 3 days a week is cake. Nothing more, nothing less. Then you don’t need to care at all about monitoring. It’s that simple. I was FTO for 20 years and hybrid (FOW) the last 4 years. The 4 out 1 in every week has been great, but I knew it wouldn’t last forever. No big deal. Just roll with the punches. It’ll all change up again in the near future anyway. Nothing lasts very long at T anyway except for stoopidity.
Good. Watch me all you want to. I’m watching them too.
There's monitoring software on your company PC. It's been there for years.
Source- I was a beta tester for it.
Our building in Alpharetta just got rid of the badge swipe to exit.
What happens if you work in a building that has key access instead of a badge and you just stay on the VPN while you are at the office?
This isn't new. T was using the badge-swipe to monitor employee entry/exit at the DIRECTV complex in El Segundo. They were also monitoring parking garage entry/exit as well, as those also required a badge to open the gate.
And this, of course, is on top of their keystroke and internet monitoring (both at the office and for anyone using COU devices outside of the office), the array of cameras in the offices, their keeping track of meeting attendance, and of course the micromanaging L3s whose entire job description is apparently to check to see who is at their desk, who is working, and who might be using the restroom too much.
Normally the badge-swiping isn't a problem until they need some justification for layoffs, at which time they will simply do a mass data-dump of all time logs and find those that are outliers in terms of hours.
T is very much an oppressive, dystopian, intrusive working environment. It has been for quite a while and it just seems like it will get worse and worse.
Don’t be surprised if the “exit gate” doesn’t soon have a badge swipe feature. This way they can see both entry AND exit.
Our building in Atlanta has had this for years.
managers dont want to lose employees so they will turn a blind eye to the reports

“ Both. They will check to see if you not only swiped your badge but also if you logged onto the network. It’s like we are all children again and we can’t be trusted to get our work done!”
How long have you been employed at T?
You were never trusted to be a dedicated employee and to get your work done.
AI sensors … read new post (not a joke)
Yes. All of those.
Unfortunately, some managers accept and even encourage their employees to snitch on co-workers.
There are 2 of them in my unit, watch your back!
Are they monitoring how long you spend in the office? Just trying to avoid Dallas traffic. Thinking I will do the 10-3 hours and rest of time from home.
Badge swipes and, from what I’ve heard, VPN usage. (I.e: they can tell how long you are logged in at the office location vs home)
Both. They will check to see if you not only swiped your badge but also if you logged onto the network. It’s like we are all children again and we can’t be trusted to get our work done!
