Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

reap what you post

After Covid, this site was absolutely swarmed with people bragging about how they exploited the company and basically cashed a free check while WFH to “stick it to management”. I understand that this is far from everyone that WFH.

Just want to say that for THOSE individuals that posted about their laziness - you’re a large part of why this is happening and you are getting what you deserve. These posts and claims are the primary defense for anyone critical of WFH. Those that did the work were largely quiet because they had sh-t to do, but unfortunately the leeches are taking others down with them.

Stank and Randy took the company down on purpose. Y will soon be bought by MS, Amazon, or Apple. Randy and stank will be laughing all the way to the bank

I busted my a-s WFH too. Laundry, mowing the lawn, painting the bedroom. More (personal) work than I've been used to.

Thank you for acknowledging this. I busted my a-s during WFH and I know others did too.

You realize most those posts are trolls, right? If not, then I have a bridge to sell you.

"Nah - this is all about cutting heads in an attempt to offset a decade of bad business decisions."

The response above is a far more accurate statement to the OP's post. Anyone blaming the employees for WFH have either bought into the gaslighting, or are trolls and don't really work here, or just disgruntled employees. Our group was extremely productive during the pandemic, all working from home. But then, there were some bad business decisions made about where to focus the work. This was not the fault of the work teams, but the people making the business decisions. And that was just a micro example of bad decisions being made up the management chain and at a far more massive scale.

WTF -@rmy+1noc7XJs
Why would you say the quiet part out loud, our Alien Overlords are not going to be happy you've revealed their master plan...i see more probing's in your future. God-speed you beautiful S.O.B.

It is not the employees fault. It's T's fault for falling into this PLANd3mic and going along with all this tyrannical control that the govt forced on everyone.
This is ALL by design. If you don't see that then there is nothing anyone can say to convince you of that.

Exactky! In addition, many post pictures on social media during working hours showing them laying by the pool, out shopping, babysitting, out of town on vacation though it's not their vacation time, nor was it coded, and the list goes on. The few, hurt the many....
