Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Happy Fourth of July Everybody!

I hope you all enjoy the long weekend and have some fun. Mostly, just don't think about the sh!tshow that Honeywell has become. We can all start back on the 5th and resume our getting scr*wed by Honeywell with a little relaxation under our belts.

Where do bad folks go when they die? Not to heaven where the angels fly. Go to a lake of fire and fry..... see'em again till the 4th of July.

How many of my American colleagues are on pins and needles wondering which no-life co-worker will email you with a request/demand today instead of being able to enjoy the holiday without thinking about work? And how many know that even if they don’t get such an email today, they will be bombarded with them tomorrow to make up for lost time? This is the only place in the world where Sunday night dread is felt all day every day.

I’m hourly. I have to work on Monday. Just like I have to work on December 28th. The random one day they decided not to give us between Xmas and NYs.

It's quarter end close. Finance and accounting have the privilege of working on the 4th.

Oh dear, I think we have some new starters or a HR rep. If you are a new starter I have sympathy for you, you are about to embark on a painful journey similar to that of the grieving process. Your optimism will fast be replaced with disbelief, denial and finally miserable acceptance but subconsciously you already know you have made a really bad mistake.
However I do realize that with Honeywell's barrier to entry now so desperately low, like literally on the floor, you maybe earning a salary far, far beyond your level and no one has noticed that you have no clue what you are doing.
In this case enjoy it while it lasts, you will likely be out by the next churn cycle.
For those with caliber and integrity it truly is a miserable place to work and has probably the lowest standards of any global corporation and that is coming from someone who with 30 years experience in 9 large American corps. Sad, a couple of decades back this company had respectability but that is long gone.
It is bottom of the pile whether you accept it or not.

HON is not a bad place to work. Pretty much similar to all big companies. Actually one of the easiest places that I have ever worked at. They work with us on hybrid schedules, like to hire from references, 401K hard to beat plus you can learn for free online as well as post internal if you don’t like current manager or job. Yes some corporate BS and too heavy on none value add management
but some of us like this place and want
HON to do good.

Why don't all of you complainers quit if Honeywell if it so bad? Do you all know how pathetic you sound, as a matter of fact all of your complaints make you sound like you are all 10 years old, grow up, Honeywell is not the problem, YOU ALL are the problem.

Happy 4th of July! Let's celebrate US superiority! I will be with some superior Kentucky Bourbon and Chinese made fireworks. US made fireworks are too powerful for my neighborhood. 😁

Speak for yourself. I'm not returning until the 10th. Use your vacation Collins and if you're in Minnesota you use Minneapolis sick days.

Sc--w them for a change.
